I've been overweight for as long as I could remember.
One day, I was surfing netflix to find a movie to watch and decided to look into the workouts. I set up the Jillian Michaels workouts to watch on my tv. It took me about a week to decide to actually DO the workouts. The first couple times I did the workouts, I could only make it approximately halfway through the workout. Then, one day, I made it through the whole thing. I didn’t do EVERY rep that they did…but I did as many as I could. If they did 10, I tried to do 10, but maybe only got in 7 or 8. But, I made it through the entire thing. I did every exercise.
I am three weeks in (7/1/2009), and doing this on my own with encouraging words from friends. I feel better. I have amore energy. People have started to say they can see a difference in me already. Already? Really? Are you sure? You’re just saying that so I will feel better. But then…someone who hadn’t seen me in several weeks asked me if I was losing size…and it made my day. I am committed to keep working out. I am committed to continue eating healthy/healthier. And I am committed to be a healthier me.
